Aixa Lopez, Strategic Planning & Operations Consultant

 



At the age of 30, Aixa became the first non-civil engineer and female to direct a department of public works in a municipality in Puerto Rico, managing over 200 construction & sanitation employees. Her work caught the attention of State-level officials, and she was appointed to manage the Metro Region water infrastructure construction projects, in charge of a capital improvement program of over $100 million in public assets.

Aixa currently serves as an independent consultant for organizations, acting as an extension of their staff and supporting process improvement, reengineering efforts, project management, and programmatic logistics.

She has received multiple productivity improvement awards in the manufacturing industry and was recently recognized as one of NJBiz's 50 Best Women in Business.

Aixa has been a speaker at NYU's GSTEM Summer Program.

Aixa lives in the Finger Lakes Region in NY with her husband Jose Reyes, an industrial engineer with expertise in Quality and President of Qualis-Solutions, LLC. Their daughter, Andrea, lives in NYC and works in fashion product development.
